Brett Schwartz

Brett Schwartz joined the team at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s as a fifth-generation licensed funeral director in 2003, but he has been working at the funeral home since 1992, when he was just fourteen years old. He would work during summers and school breaks at Abington Junior and Senior High Schools, learning many of the duties and responsibilities of the entire staff. He graduated from Penn State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and a minor in Insurance. In 2002, he received an Associate of Science Degree in Funeral Service from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA. In mortuary school, Brett was also a member of Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity, the honorary Mortuary Science Fraternity. Admission to this program is based on scholastic standing.
Brett’s father, Harry Schwartz, was in the business all his life, until his retirement in 2018. Brett is now a Senior Vice President at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s, overseeing several aspects of the business and constantly looking for ways to better and modernize the business while trying to maintain and uphold the valued traditions of the past.
Brett is a funeral director dedicated to honing his craft to best serve the needs of grieving families. His sense of empathy and compassion guides him to hold the hands of the families he serves while walking them through the process of planning a meaningful tribute for their loved ones. If there is one thing Brett loves to do, it’s helping people. Whether at work or in his personal life, he prides himself on being there for people in need.
He is an active member of Beth Tikvah-B’nai Jeshurun in Erdenheim, PA, where he holds board positions on both the synagogue and men’s club, as well as co-chairs the fundraising committee. He is also a member at Congregation Or Ami in Lafayette Hill, PA. Brett is also President of Pannonia Beneficial Association.
Brett currently resides in Lafayette Hill, PA, with his wife Lindsay, son Ryder, and daughter Isla. His passions include movies, music, food, cocktails, coffee, and horology. Brett is an avid watch collector and enjoys sharing his passion with others. He is an active member of RedBar Philadelphia (horological group).
