Eileen Norman Perice

Eileen has been a licensed funeral director for over 40 years. She is currently licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is Senior Vice President of Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors, Inc and is Supervisor of the Philadelphia location. She is also the President of Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors of Atlantic County.

Eileen has been a certified Grief Facilitator and death educator for children since 1994. She created the first grief support library on the East Coast and safe room for children at the Broad Street location. She has had the privilege of educating Hebrew school children and their parents, hospice nurses, and students at the Reconstructionist College in Wyncote, PA. about the Jewish rituals involving the dying, death and grief processes. She also worked with many local grief support groups as a guest speaker. For many years she helped facilitate meetings for Compassionate Friends grief support organization. She is honored to have helped so many families during their time of need. She feels strongly that allowing children to participate before, during and after the funeral ceremony is beneficial to their experience with death.

She graduated from Temple University, Cum Laude and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Eileen attended Cypress College Mortuary Program, Summa Cum Laude and received her Pennsylvania funeral director license in 1982. Her journey into the family business began when she was 14 years old helping in the yahrzeits department, and lead her to following the footsteps of her father and grandfather.

Over the past four decades, Eileen passion has been in community outreach, serving on the Jewish Community of Southern New Jersey’s Federation Board, The Jewish Community Foundation Board, serving as the co-chair of the grants committee for many years, Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Southern New Jersey Board, Jewish Senior Housing and Healthcare Services Board, serving as President of the Associates Board for Jewish Senior Housing, and many committees including the Jewish Family Service of Atlantic and Cape May Counties House Tour Committee.

Eileen has been married to her husband Sal for 40 years and they are the proud parents of Rabbi Michael and Rachael, Joseph and Leanne, and adoring grandparents of Ari Leone.
